Middlesbrough Town Hall is preparing to be ‘uked’ as the UK’s freshest and funkiest act, The Ukulele Project, is heading to the venue on Wednesday 27 July.

The trio stop off at the Town Hall as part of their first UK tour and will be setting the stage alight (in a small but marvellous way) as they play everyone’s favourite songs – uke style.

Having only formed at the beginning of 2010, this youthful trio have blown away critics and audiences alike and performed sold out shows at last years Edinburgh Festival – a big achievement for such a miniature act!

“A smaller (and sexier) version of The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, The Ukulele Project are bound to fulfil all your ukulele needs.” Three Weeks

The Ukulele Project is made up of three of the UK’s hottest young Ukulele talents - one girl, two boys - Oli Peacock, Marcus Rice, and Pete Wright - all aged just 18 years old.

From Elvis to Elgar, 'Greensleeves' to Gaga, nothing is out of bounds! Don’t miss out as they take on a medley of madness - Stereophonics, Debussy, Queen, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Enya, Electric 6, Scissor Sisters, Kasabian and Dolly Parton to name but a few - a microtastic evening of dizzying entertainment.

Stunning and inventive music from the band that dares to be small - prepare to get uked!

**** “Fresh-faced and eager without one ounce of pretension between them… irresistible.” EdinburghSpotlight.com
