Walk and talk as part of Local History Month 2016.
Independent advice on debt and other finance issues is being laid on for Middlesbrough residents – and it’s completely free.
Middlesbrough Partnership’s Financial Inclusion Group is making sound financial support and advice available to as many people as possible.
The latest in a series of Free Advice Days – open to all members of the community - takes place on Thursday, November 3 from 10am to 2pm in the Charlbury Road Community Centre at Pallister Park.
Caseworkers will be on hand to help people resolve their financial problems – anyone wishing to attend can make an appointment by calling 01642 802284 or drop in on the day.
Middlesbrough Partnership Financial Inclusion Group Chairman John Daniels said: “We’re all feeling the effects of the public sector cuts and domestic budgets are under greater pressure than ever, so it’s essential that people know what they’re entitled to – and that they have access to help when they need it.”
Councillor Julia Rostron, Middlesbrough Council’s Executive Member for Community Protection, said: “People need to know where they can turn for sound, impartial advice and that’s exactly what events like the Free Advice Day are all about.
“I’d urge anyone who has a problem, however small, to attend – a pointer in the right direction really can mean the difference between despair and hope.”
