To celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011, Middlesbrough will be host to a series of free events by leading entrepreneur coaches, to help the towns budding start-ups to get expert advice and practical tips on how to launch a successful business.

This fantastic opportunity is being delivered by the Middlesbrough Enterprise Gateway, which is run by leading social purpose company A4e.

The events will run from 14 - 18 November, and there will be a wide range of activities going on around Middlesbrough city centre to support local residents interested in starting their own business.

The week will culminate in a tradeshow to showcase the latest products and services from Middlesbrough’s entrepreneurs, at the Hardwick Suite, Middlesbrough Football Club. There will also be a festive German Market, treats and giveaways, and the chance to win signed memorabilia from the Middlesbrough football squad.

Beverly Maxted, A4e Enterprise Coordinator, Middlesbrough Enterprise Gateway, says “There is no such thing as a typical entrepreneur; I’ve worked with people of all ages and backgrounds who are now running successful businesses across Middlesbrough. Talking to an enterprise coach can be the best way to find out if this is an opportunity for you, so I’d urge anyone thinking about starting or expanding their own business – no matter the size or industry - to come down and meet with like-minded people and discuss their ideas with leading entrepreneurs – and have fun!”
