With X Factor fever running high, and Middlesbrough’s very own Amelia Lily now back in the competition, Middlesbrough Town Hall is excited to welcome 2009’s winner Joe McElderry to it’s stage this Friday (18 November).

Joe rose to fame when he won the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009, mentored by Cheryl Cole. A number one single followed and his debut album Wide Awake cemented his place in the heart of the British public. So much so that he became the triumphant winner of this year’s Popstar to Operastar, receiving 80% of the votes in the final and proving he is unbeatable when performing on live TV.

Now signed to Universal Music and to celebrate the release of his second album, Classic, Joe is continuing this incredible journey with a nationwide tour allowing fans all over the country to see him at his best.

Joe said of his new album “It’s going to be a lot of big, lush ballads; it’s definitely going to appeal to all my fans.”

Joe is also set to release his Classic Christmas album on Monday 28 November; featuring his unique take on festive hits ranging from Silent Night to Last Christmas - get a signed copy in Middlesbrough at HMV on December 1. Meet Joe at HMV Middlesbrough on December 1 

The Classic tour will present a snapshot of Joe’s music career to date. Fans can expect a selection of songs from his albums, his X Factor and Popstar to Operastar appearances and a range of other timeless songs all performed in Joe’s faultless style.

The Main Hall can accommodate up to 10 wheelchairs and the Crypt up to 6 wheelchairs. One free ticket is available for each companion. Please inform the Box Office at time of booking. Please note that the lifts will only hold 330 pounds. Please bear this in mind if you are the owner of a heavy wheelchair.
