This Sunday will see tadea Middlesbrough Lions attempt to place one hand on the league title, should they beat joint first placed Rossendale Raptors at Eston Sports Academy. Over 300 people turned out to see Lions win over Hull a fortnight ago and the club is making a big push for this epic game Sunday at Eston Sports Academy, 4pm.

The feat will be no easy one as the Raptors head to Eston looking for their 11th straight win. They have the best winning record in the league and have only lost twice this season; only once with star man Stephen Gayle. This loss though, was at the hands of the Lions, a 1pt victory in the most dramatic of fashions at Rossendale in early November.

Gayle is averaging 32 points per game and the former Chester Jet will need to be stopped by Lions. Lions though are flying high looking for their 7th straight win. The Lions have Tom Robinson who is fighting hard with Gayle for the player of the season award along with American giant Mike Konanec who was MVP in Lions last two games. Italian favourite; Papis Samb is fully fit while new signings have further strengthened their squad with the additions of Lee Norton and more recently Luke Somerville and Dijon Fisher, three high calibre players who will bolster Lions credentials as serious title and play off contenders.

It’s a game where neither team can afford to lose…. Don’t miss out this Sunday.
