Newly rebranded Middlesbrough Roller Derby host Roller Derby extravaganza this weekend.

On Saturday 20th May local Roller Derby team Middlesbrough Roller Derby host British Championships, in a tournament that brings together top ranked teams from across the UK.

The tournament goes into motion from 10am at Eston sports centre, where London, Bristol, Leeds, Cardiff, Birmingham and Middlesbrough face off.

Middlesbrough will play against Leeds in their second British Champs game of the season as their first home game as ‘Middlesbrough Roller Derby’.

Captain Terri Sudron said;

‘We’re excited to be back in British Champs this year. We came third last time and we’ve worked so hard over the last year that this time we’ve set our sights on the top spot. The day will be a brilliant family fun event with lots of amazing action. The best teams in the country will be showcasing their skills.’

The event is family friendly with Roller Derby action, stalls and a raffle.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for £8 and U12’s go free with any paying adult.
