leaf to thrill young audiences at newly opened town hall

Young audiences are in for a treat when Leaf comes to Middlesbrough Town Hall on Saturday, June 23.

Leaf is a Tam Tam Theatre production for 0-3s presented by Half Moon, the UK’s leading small-scale young people’s venue and touring company.

Join us as we tell the life story of a very special leaf in this warm, intimate and playful new piece for under-threes inspired by nature and the seasons.

Framed within an evocative soundscape, this is the perfect introduction to theatre for the very young.

Leaf is another heart-warming play created by Tam Tam Theatre, whose previous shows for very young children include Circles in the Sand and Curious. The company’s founder Marleen Vermeulen created Leaf in collaboration with director Joy Haynes.

At the end of the performance, children are invited onto the stage to play among the leaves and explore a landscape created by the changing seasons.

This is the first in a number of quality family shows coming to Middlesbrough Town Hall over the coming months including Butterflies, an uplifting tale of friendship and courage on Thursday, October 11, Oliver Jeffers’ Lost and Found on Tuesday, October 30 and the Owl and the Pussycat in February 2019.

• Leaf is suitable for children aged 0 to 3 and their families, with performances at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Saturday, June 23 at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Tickets are on sale priced £6 + booking fee from www.middlesbroughtownhall.co.uk or from the Box Office on 01642 729 729.
