Pressgang! with the Historical Maritime Society

Would you like to sail with Captain Cook? It wasn't all plain sailing!

Join us in celebrating Middlesbrough and how it became home to many, through music, art, film, literature and comedy.

Admission is FREE during the day, gathering stories from the people of Teesside, how families moved and settled and made the town home. We will be visualising this across a giant storyboard, with lots of local writers, storytellers and artists.

Taking those themes from the day, we will start an evening of celebrations at 7pm, with comedian Patrick Monahan headlining a packed bill, as well as comparing the evenings merriment. He will be joined by, author Richard Milward, poet Matt Abbott, DJ Danielle Johnson, and music from Soul Elite.

Tickets are £10, and all are very welcome, like. Buy online
